Moses Peter emerged tops of a strong field of 49 National and International Masters to win the 4th Godwill Akpabio International Scrabble Classics Master Category.

Nigeria's Jighere Wellington Wins 2010 Africa Scrabble Championship
Nigeria maintained her supremacy in Africa Scrabble by retaining the African Scrabble Trophy. After 30 games and 4 days of scrabble board tussle, defending champion Wellington Jighere emerged winner of the 2010 African Champion hosted by Ghana. He amassed 21 points with a spread of +1697. He becomes only the second man to successfully defend the trophy after Dennis Ikekeregor (Nigeria) in 2004 and 2006 editions. Eta Karo of Nigeria closely followed with 21 points and a +1319 spread. Nigeria took the top 12 positions in the tournament. Details will follow shortly.
